Do the NRT

What to say to your neighbors in the complex when the electricity goes out? Take a deep breath …

Pause. Then do the NRT (next right thing).”

Maybe the NRT is to light some candles or close off all but one small room and hunker down under blankets. We aren’t guaranteed basic conveniences though we are jolted when we lose them.

NRT has become a navigation tool that I rely on. I’ve lived without electricity, running water, indoor plumbing and (gasp) a phone, but I don’t want to go back to a life without my basic NRT.  You’re gonna wanna read this.
